Of course we can give you detailed assistance to help guide you through the online training.
First, take a look at the Demo online training found on our Home page and Food Manager pages. This demo shows you how the training will look and work.
When you purchase online training, you will be able to immediately click on the online training link found to the left of the page. You will also be able to log on later using your username and password to complete training later or in multiple sessions. Simply enter your username and password and then click on the online training link found to the left of the page.
This will open the online training page where you will click on Food Manager. The first time you use the training, it will ask you for a name to assign the training. If you have purchased multiple online trainings for multiple staff members, assign each staff member an unique name and give the staff members the username, password and their assigned name to click on. Remind them to click only on their name. Food Safety Certifications, LLC is NOT responsible for staff members using each others trainings.
Chapters - Each chapter is timed, so please click pause or close if you walk away from your computer. Food Safety Certifications, LLC is NOT responsible if time runs out because you forgot to click pause or close. Each screen of the chapter will have a forward and backward button, a speaker icon, a menu control, and the pause and close buttons. You can move forward and backward through the chapter by clicking the forward and backward buttons. You can also click the menu control and scroll through each page of the chapter if you are looking for a specific page. You have the option of reading each page yourself or click on the speaker icon to have the page read to you. You may click the speaker icon again to turn of the speaker as well. In order to hear the speaker, you must have speakers attached to your computer and the volume turned up. If you would like to pause the chapter and stop the timer for a short period you may click the pause button. When you are ready to open the chapter and begin again simply click the play button. If you would like to close the chapter, click the close button. You may close and reopen a chapter as needed until time runs out.
Quizzes - After each chapter there is a 10 question quiz. Answer all questions and click the submit button at the bottom of the page. You may only submit a quiz ONE time. If you leave questions blank, the quiz will be submitted and you will get these questions wrong. If you exit out of the quiz before clicking submit, all answers will be lost and you must begin again. Once you click submit, you may not reopen the quiz again.
Results - After submitting a quiz, click on the results link for that quiz and you will see your results. This page will show you each question with a green checkmark if correct or a red "X" mark if incorrect. It will also show the correct answer and an explanation.
FINAL Prep Test - There is a final prep test that is 80 questions - the same number of questions as the exam. Do not attempt to begin this prep test unless you have 2 hours to sit down and complete the test. Some people may complete the prep test in less time. There is no save function for this test so you must complete all 80 questions at one time and then click the submit button at the bottom of the test. If you answer some questions and then close the test, it will not save the questions you have already answered. If you click submit before you complete the test, the blank questions will be wrong. You may only submit the test ONE time.
Final Prep Test Result - This link will appear after the Final Prep Test has been submitted. The results will show exactly the same way as the quiz results for each question and answer of the Final Prep Test.
